This light bulb socket is a direct OEM replacement socket that you can use to replace the fault one you have now. It doesn't matter if the original socket is out of tolerance, the bulbs are falling out, or there is corrosion built up, this new light bulb socket will replace it with quality. Just simply twist your new light bulb socket into the back of your classic Mustang's gauge cluster for illumination, and you'll enjoy a nice bright instrument panel for years to come!

*This socket accepts an 1895 bulb, which is sold separately.

The instrument panel area is what you look at most when you are behind the wheel. Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fitment not good I purchased these sockets to replace the originals. When I did a test fit of the bulbs 4 out of 7 sockets fit correctly. When I tried to fit the sockets to the instrument bezel 3 out of 7 fit. Unfortunately, I ended up sending these back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low quality sockets I bought these sockets for my 1966 instrument panel. The fit on the panel fine however, the connection to the bulb was loose. I had to use solder to extend the positive post on the bulb to get them to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad fit. Generic part Bad fit between wire and bulb too much play. Bad fit in instrument housing. Thought when I ordered this part it was vehicle specific. However, when I opened the package it was a generic bulb socket that I could have bought at Autozone. The part is all around junk. CJ pony parts should have been more transparent that the part is generic and not vehicle specific. I only bought the part because i thought it was vehicle specific not a loose fitting, just barely get by, generic part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lamp Socket for instrument panel I ordered eight of these. 3 were fine but the other 5 were junk. Bulbs were loose in the socket and was overall a poor connection. I will have to modify to make work. The kicker is that for a $5 socket the things should be a better quality. With all the poor reviews its hard to believe CJ is still carrying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless These things are useless. They don't have a spring in them to keep the bulb secure. Why would anyone make something that doesn't work and why does CJ keep selling them to people knowing they don't work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good replacement part Very easy to install and it worked first time right :-) I recommend this product The plastic looks a bit cheap, but it is hidden in the back anyway.

The product video states that you have to use the original style springs sold separately, yet there is no reference to that part to order it. What spring? also is this for right and left turn signal? my left hand turn signal has two wires coming from it.

Asked by: Shlby4me
This a spring loaded socket instead of a twist and lock socket like the original so there is no extra spring needed and the sockets are sold individually. If you have a two wire socket than you need to make sure both wires are doing the same thing, if they are than both wires can be connected to the single wire socket.
