You'll like how this clear anodized oil separator looks sitting under the hood of your Wrangler, but you'll absolutely love how it keeps your engine running cleaner and performing better! JLT Performance designed this brand-new oil separator to be a full 3-ounces--much larger when compared to the smaller 1-ounce ones you usually find in today's market! The multi-stage filtration system includes a fine mesh stainless steel screen to trap fine oil vapors as well as an aluminum honeycomb filter to trap larger particles and bigger drops of oil.
A knurled tank base allows for easy disposal of the collected oil, while an O-ring keeps the seal tight to prevent leaks. J&L Oil Separator Co. designs and builds its products in the USA to be a direct-fit upgrade and a plug-and-play install.
JLT Performance has worked to expand plug-and-play applications within the automotive industry. With the same great products, JLT Performance formally introduces the J&L Oil Separator Company, specializing in oil separators.

If you wanna eliminate excess oil in your engine, then today we're gonna look at this JLT 3.0 Oil Separator fitting your 2012 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
This JLT 3.0 Oil Separator can hold up to three ounces of fluid where the original could only hold up to an ounce. It made out of a solid-built piece of aluminum and features a new multistage filter design, allowing it to collect the finest of oil vapors.
Now, during the process of venting the crank case, the pressure can run back in your intake track and large amounts of oil can collect and get into places in your engine that you really don't want them.
Included with this kit comes an oil separator, the mounting bracket, and all the necessary hardware, so let's get it installed on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
We're at the front of our Jeep and we're about ready to get our JLT Oil Separator installed. The first step is to remove the engine cover. You simply pick straight up and it pulls right out towards you. Set this aside. You'll be reinstalling it once it's done.
We're at the driver's side of the engine bay and the next step is to install the bracket to hold the oil separator. There's a little eight-millimeter bolt here that actually holds on one of your AC hardlines. Pull that out and then we'll put the bracket on. It uses an eight-millimeter socket.
Once the bolt is out, we can install the new bracket. Slide it over the existing hardline and reinstall the factory hardware.
We'll tighten that up with the socket.
Then we can install the oil separator right at the top.
With the bracket installed, we're now ready to install the oil separator. Now, I would suggest putting the lines underneath the intake manifold before you bolt it on, as it makes it easier instead of them hanging around all over the place.
With those tight, we'll go on and put the lines in line with the factory PCV hose.
Now we're gonna remove the PCV hose. You're gonna leave this soft elbow on here and pull out the hardline. That way, you can put your new lines in line with that.
Now, to get these lines all hooked up properly, you're gonna take the male end and put it into this soft elbow, and then the female end over the hardline that's already in the Jeep.
Make sure all your connections are tight and reinstall the engine cover, and that completes your install.
The install of our new JLT 3.0 Oil Separator is done and it couldn't have been much easier. It only took us about 20 minutes to install it and it looks really great. When I actually pulled those lines apart, you could see a little bit of oil, and I'm hoping that it's gonna remove a lot of that.
Now, when you change the oil in your Jeep, you should remove the lower cap here and make sure that there's no fluid in there. If there is, just dump it out. Every 5,000 to 7,000 miles, make sure you clean it out with something like a carb cleaner just to keep it clean inside there.
You only need an eight-millimeter socket and a Phillips head screwdriver to get it installed.
Now, you can find this oil separator, as well as many other great parts for your JK right here at CJPonyParts.com.
