JBA Ceramic Coated Stainless Steel 1-3/4" Long Tube Headers for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs with a 351W Engine and Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Kit.

After the installation of a Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Kit, you may run into header clearance issues. Not to worry, JBA's long tube headers are created specifically to clear the Borgeson setup while providing a fantastic boost in performance and sound.

This set of headers will fit your 1965-1973 Mustang equipped with a Ford 351W Engine.

- Stainless Steel Construction
- Silver Ceramic Coating
- 3/8" Thick CNC Laser Cut Flanges
- 1-3/4" Primary Tubes
- 3" JBA Firecone Style Collector
- Includes All Necessary Hardware and Gaskets

The stainless steel construction already resists rust, but JBA coats the headers with silver ceramic coating to help contain heat and provide great aesthetics. With the ceramic coating, you don't have to worry about the finish flaking off or discolored metal.

All the required hardware is included as well as high quality gaskets so you don't need to to make any trips to the local automotive parts store.

JBA's long tube headers have 3/8" thick flanges which resist warping due to the heat. The flanges are CNC laser cut to ensure a perfectly flat surface so your cylinder heads seal perfectly against the headers. Large 1-3/4" diameter mandrel bent steel tubes increase exhaust gas flow for a great improvement in power. JBA's patented 3" Firecone collector merges individual cylinder exhaust gases without interrupting flow and velocity.

As with all JBA performance headers, you'll witness increased horsepower and torque throughout the entire RPM range. Improved throttle response will make your Mustang a joy to drive. The large diameter long tube headers will help the engine breath and increase fuel economy due to increased efficiency. To top it all off, these headers will look great under the hood of your 1965-1973 Mustang.

I am looking for long tube ceramic coated headers to install on my 67 Mustang Fastback with a 351 Windsor motor, Borgenson power steering and a T5 Transmission with the factory Z bar.  Will these work, if not what would you recommend? Thanks Tom

Asked by: Tom67Mustang
Does not work with factory z bar, you'd have to use a cable or a hydraulic clutch.

I have a 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero with a 302, C4, Borgeson PS box. Will this for well or will I need to still modify the pipes to get steering linkages to clear? I.e. Pittman arm and exhaust. Will the header tubes hug the engine? How does the pipes lay?

Asked by: Nick65
The vendor has not provided any information regarding cross-fitments of this part to any other model then what is listed.

Will these header also work with an AOD transmission?

Asked by: Tommy
I installed these on my 1967 fastback with an 1989 5.0 HO AOD and the Borgeson conversion. They fit great.

69 cougar 351 W borgenson steering and modern driveline cable clutch with a tremec T-5. Will these headers work?

Asked by: Mach 1 kid
These will work with the Borgeson power steering but most long tube headers will not work with the clutch cable set up. You would have to use a hydraulic kit like this one, http://www.cjponyparts.com/hydraulic-clutch-conversion-kit-t5-tko-1967-1970/p/HCC2/, or short style headers.

Do these particular headers fit/match well with a new Magna Flow Dual Exhaust with X-pip (2.5")? I know that the collector size it 3" on these headers. If not, do you recommend stainless steel header that will match the exhaust and powersteering i have?

Asked by: beefheels
The Magnaflow system is not going to be an exact fit to any header. They give you pieces that you need to cut the front pipes to fit just about any long tube header.

Will these headers fit a 66 mustang with a 1990 5.0  aod trans with borgeson power steering conversion

Asked by: Gary1955
We have never installed these headers with that combination, JBA does not mention them fitting an aod transmission. You may have to use shorty style headers.
