Whether you're on or off the road, you can never have too much visibility. As you can see with our 2016 Jeep Wrangler, we've added a ton of auxiliary lights to it. Today, we're going to take it a step further by installing these KC halogen lights. This KC Apollo pro lights come with two 100 watt halogen bulbs and their own wiring harness with a switch and relay for an easy installation. The lights feature the iconic KC guard and a universal light mount. Today, we're going to install them on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Tools you'll need for this installation, a 3/8 ratchet, 13mm socket, 15mm socket, and basic wiring tools. You can mount these KC lights virtually anywhere, but we're going to mount them to our bumper bar. They're pretty easy to install.

Just remove the nut on the bottom of the stud. Install it on the mount, then reinstall the washer and nut, then tighten it with a 15mm socket. Get the tilt that you want. That looks pretty good. Then tighten it with a 13mm socket. Repeat the same process for the other light. This kit comes with its own wiring harness switch and relay, however we're not going to use it. We're going to wire these lights up to our trail rocker system, but we're going to show you how to wire it up anyway. Take the brown wire and plug it into the connector at the top of the switch where the LED is. Then the green wire goes in the middle of the switch, and the white goes on the bottom. This is how you wire up the switch.

Obviously you would do this after you install the switch in the pod, but we just did this for demonstration purposes. The brown wire that connects to the switch is just a ground. You can ground this anywhere. The white wire's going to hook up to a 12 volt switch source. Then this black wire will be another ground wire, and this yellow wire goes directly to the battery. Then you can simply plug in the relay. Now, it's ready to go in the Jeep. Now, once again we did show you how to install the KC wiring harness but we're not going to use it. We're going to hook our lights up to our trail rocker system. Here we have the KC lights lit up. As you can see, they have a very nice spot light pattern and they're going to significantly improve off-road visibility.

Our KC Apollo Pro Lights are installed. They give our Jeep that nice classic look, and they're going to significantly improve off-road visibility. Installation will take you about an hour and before you know it, you'll be heading off-road.
