Kentrol Door Hinge Liner Kit Delrin Black 4-Door Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018

We're going to show you how to take your doors on and off a whole lot easier.

If you're factory door hinge liners have seen better days, then today we're going to look at this Kentrol Black Delrin door hinge liner kit, fitting your 2007 through 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The factory door hinge pin bushings on your JK are made of a cast material which, over time, oxidizes and makes opening and closing your doors a struggle. These Kentrol hinge pin liners are constructed of a Black Delrin material which will last much longer than factory and won't corrode. Now, the hinges on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler are just about as bad as it gets, so today we're going to replace the old hinge liners with these new Kentrol hinge liners.

Now, we're going to start this install at the front driver's side of our Jeep. Now, normally the door hinges do have a little lock on the bottom that requires a T45 Torx Bit to get off, but ours are already removed so we're going to skip that step. We're going to open up the door and remove the factory connections on the inside for both the lighting as well as the door-limiting strap. Now, you can remove the factory wiring harness. Just push the pin in, and then pull it out, and then we'll also remove this door-limiting strap. Just pull up on it, and now we're ready to go. And now, we can pull the door off.

Now, we're going to use the installation tool to remove the old bushing. Now that we're ready to get these installed, we're going to use a little bit of lubrication inside where the old bushing went. You want to make sure that there's no burrs or anything like that, that'll prevent the new Delrin bushing from going in. Now, some people have run into an issue to where the heads actually break off of this, and that's because it's not properly cleaned on the inside, and there's something sticking out that won't let the bushing go all the way in.

Now that we've got our hinges properly cleaned out, we can install the new Delrin bushings. Now we can reinstall the door with the new hinges. Now, we're going to reconnect the door-limiting strap as well as the wiring harness. And now we can repeat the same process on our last three doors and your installation is complete!

We just got the install complete on these new door hinge liners, and they look really great. Plus, the doors open and close much easier than they did before. The install is really simple.
