STO N SHO Front License Plate Bracket for Winch Mounted Roller Fairleads.
California Residents: Proposition 65 Warning
This Stow and Show front license plate bracket features an aluminum construction with a durable black powder coat. It includes all the nuts and bolts to get your license plate mounted on the front. And it's simply slides behind your Roller Fairlead bracket. This is a great option if your state requires a front license plate, or if you're looking to add a vanity plate to your off road vehicle.
With that being said, we're going to get it installed on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler. We're at the front of our JK, and the first step that I'm going to do, is loosen out Fairlead bolt, slide the bracket behind there, and get started. We're going to loosen up the Fairlead mounting bolt. Every Fairlead is going to be a little bit different, so you'll just have to find out which yours takes. It's only a nut and a bolt. And if you already previously installed it, you'll probably know what it is, or have a round-about guess.
Let's get it loosened up, that way we can slip that bracket behind there. Repeat the same process on the other side. Just get it nice and loosened up, that way you can slip the bracket behind there. Once you have the Fairlead bolts loosened up, one of the nicest features about this bracket, is that is won't interfere with your light bar. You push it up through the bottom, just right under where the Fairlead would be. It'll slide up to where your bolts go. And you can tighten the bolts back down, and then we'll put the license plate bracket it.
Once you have the Fairlead bolted back into place, simply pull the release tab, slide your bracket in. You'll hear a click, and you can bolt your license plate to it. We're going to use the provided hardware to get our vanity plate. As you can see it's a CJ Plate, if you have the front license plate, or anything like that for your state, you can mount it up with the provided hardware. Just a Phillips head screw in the front, and a 10 millimeter on the back.
Once you have your license plate fastened on, your installation's complete. We just finished up the install of this Stow and Show front license plate bracket fitting the Roller Fairlead. This bracket is really awesome. It only took me about 20 minutes to install, and the best part is, you can pull it off with one pull pin. Now you have access to the winch, and you can throw your license plate in the back of your off road rig.
