Polished Lokar Kickdown Cable for Ford AOD Transmissions.

Lokar Kickdown Cables are manufactured from high quality parts for your high quality build. PTFE-lined cables are made with an extruded liner to extend the life of the cable. Don't confuse the PTFE-lined cables with ordinary brake hose as Lokar uses only the finest materials. Aluminum fittings and ferrules eliminate frayed ends which makes them adaptable to all types of manifolds including tunnel ram, blower manifolds and multiple-carburetor systems. Pieces are polished to add a finished look to your engine bay. Includes all necessary hardware.

The Lokar AOD Kickdown Kit is used to actuate the throttle valve (TV) within the transmission. Use of a Lokar kickdown cable can simplify installation whether it is being used in a custom application or replacing an old setup. The Lokar TV cable is designed to be cut-to-fit to serve your application correctly. Lokar designed the AOD kickdown to be compatible with all Edelbrock and Holley four barrel carburetors that have a hole 1-1/8" below the center of the throttle shaft.

*The Lokar Kickdown Kit is designed to be installed with a Lokar Carburetor Bracket and Springs, part # SRK-4000.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incomplete kit If you have a carburetor, do NOT buy this kit. In the product description it states in part: "Includes all necessary hardware." Not so. Another kit, part #SRK-4000, is needed to complete this installation IF you have a carburetor. Therefore, purchase kit #KCAOD if you want everything the first time. (if you go all the way to the bottom of the description, you'll see a small asterisk that states this kit is designed to be installed with other stuff. I just wish this info was way more prominent than it is)
