Your SN95 Cobra was one of the first Mustangs to feature independent rear suspension, but that system has a weak link: the stock rear tie rods. Even moderate performance upgrades are enough to deform or break a stock tie rod, causing significant performance issues. The Maximum Motorsports Tie Rod (MMIRSTR-2) is more robust than the stock unit, making it ideal for drag racing or open track use. It will not deform or fail, and has added features to further improve your handling.
Features and Benefits:
- Fits 1999-2004 Cobra Mustangs with Factory IRS
- Fully Adjustable Tie-Rods
- Prevents Rear Bumpsteer
- Proudly Manufactured in the USA!
- Simple Installation
- Includes all Necessary Mounting Hardware
The Maximum Motorsports Tie-rod kit is much more than just a stronger replacement for the stock unit. It also allows you to adjust bumpsteer. A Mustang equipped with IRS is more sensitive to rear bumpsteer than it is to front bumpsteer. Even small changes in the toe setting of the rear suspension can cause instability and poor handling characteristics. The handling of an IRS-equipped Mustang will benefit greatly from fine-tuning its bumpsteer characteristics with these adjustable tie rods.
This Kit Includes:
- Pair of Aluminum Tie-Rods (2)
- Spherical Rod Ends (4)
- Assortment of Bumpsteer Adjustment Spacers
- Tapered Studs (2)
