Novice skill is required for this installation.
This MBRP Axle-Back Exhaust is made of mandrel bent aluminized tubing with a high flow muffler and dual tailpipes with polished tips, to give your Jeep better sound and performance without being too loud. It's going to be super-easy to install. Today, we're going to install it using our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
Tools you'll need for this installation, half inch ratchet, 14 millimeter socket, 15 millimeter socket, 3/8 ratchet and an eight millimeter hex key.
This axle-back exhaust is going to be super- easy to install. There's only one 15 millimeter nut holding it on. Then you just have to remove the muffler from the two rubber hangers. Remove the 15 millimeter nut on the exhaust clamp. Now, we're going to remove this bracket from the rubber hanger on the Jeep. Now, we can move to the other hanger. Once both hangers are disconnected, grab onto the muffler and twist it to break it loose from the pipe. Then you can pull it off.
With the factory exhaust out of the way, the first thing we're going to do is hang the pipes with the hangers on them. This one's going to go on the driver side, and this one on the passenger side. Slide the bracket into the hanger, same thing for the passenger side. Slide a clamp on the over axle pipe, then connect the inlet pipe to it. The muffler's going to install just like this, and this pipe right here will be the inlet and these two will be the outlets.
Install the driver's side tail pipe, then adjust all the pipes to your liking. Then once you get it to where you like it, you can tighten down all the clamps. Tighten the clamps with a 14 millimeter socket, then you can install the tips. Install the tips on each tailpipe, then tighten them with an eight millimeter hex key. Then once you get both tips installed, your installation's finished.
Let's hear it. Our MBRP Axle-Back Exhaust is installed. The dual polished tips look really good, made our Jeep a little bit louder with a nice, dirty sound. Installation would take you about an hour. Before you know it, you'll be heading off-road.
