Modern Driveline Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit for 1967-1968 Mustangs with a T5 or TKO Transmission.

Hydraulic clutch kits are a great upgrade over the original style clutch linkages and even clutch cable conversions. A hydraulic clutch setup reduces pedal effort while increasing pedal feel. They also offer more header clearance, you don't have to worry about a clutch cable burning through on headers.

To get the proper pedal pressure and stroke the cylinder needed to be raised higher then the stock clutch rod linkage hole. Interference issues prevents this in many cars. Secondly, if the cylinder was mounted through the existing clutch rod hole, the pedal pressure was excessive.

The cylinder in this newly designed system is resized and optimized for this use. It's small size insures it will fit in the majority of applications. Mechanical linkage was added which makes it possible to use the clutch rod hole and provides mechanical advantage, thus reducing the pedal pressure required to operate the clutch.

Please Note: This Modern Driveline Hydraulic Clutch Conversion kit is designed to work on manual brakes and for power brakes that are using the original style booster. This Modern Driveline Kit may not work with aftermarket boosters as they might interfere with the mounts that come through the firewall.

*This will only work with late model bellhousings, like a T5 or TKO bellhousing. This will not work with early model bellhousings.

We're here with a hydraulic clutch conversion kit from Modern Driveline. This particular kit is for your '67-'70 Mustang, but we offer a kit for '65-'66, as well. It includes everything needed to convert over to hydraulics from your factory mechanical linkage. That includes the master cylinder, reservoir, brackets, and the slave cylinder. The master cylinder is available in kit form with the slave cylinder, or it can be purchased individually if you want to use a hydraulic throw-out bearing. It includes the master cylinder itself, brackets to mount in the stock location on the firewall, brackets for your pedal assembly, and remote reservoir. The slave cylinder comes with a bracket to install to your late model T5 or late model TKO bell housing. If you're going with a blow-proof such as a Quick Time, there's brackets available for the T5 and TKO, as well. They also have brackets coming out for T45, 3650, and '94-'95 T5, as well. The Modern Driveline hydraulic clutch conversions typically are going to have a little bit of a lighter pedal than an equivalent mechanical or cable clutch system. It's an excellent choice for a T5 swap in your early Mustang.
