If you're looking to add some more protection when getting in and out of your 2018 JL Wrangler, then today we're gonna be installing these Mopar black entry seal guards, fitting your 2018 Jeep JL four-door Wrangler.
These Mopar black seal guards feature a durable plastic construction, as well as everything you need to get them installed. It includes both front seal plates, as well as the rear seal plates. And, even the alcohol prep wipe to ensure they stick properly. With that being said, we're gonna get them installed in our 2018 Jeep JL four-door wrangler.
We're gonna start at the front drivers-side door. Grab the front seal plate, clean it up with a little alcohol, and get started. This kit does include four alcohol prep pads, one for each corner. I'm gonna tear this open, and get started. The key to making sure it sticks is to get a nice, clean surface. It's recommended that you let it sit for five minutes before you go to install.
Go ahead and grab the front left seal plate. You'll notice it does say, "Front left," right on here. That way you have the right thing. Grab the red tabs on both of these, and pull off the backing for the adhesive.
To get it lined up, there's a little corner edge right there. I'm gonna put it on the corner of this body panel. Get it right along there. Push it towards the back, and then slowly push down. Make sure it's fully pushed back towards the body, and then press down all the way along there, to make sure it really sticks on. Just keep pushing on that. Make sure it sticks good, and then we'll move on to the rear.
Use another alcohol swab for the rear. Make sure it gets nice and clean.
Let that sit for five minutes, then install your rear seal plate. Grab the rear seal plate for the left side. Flip it around, and pull the red backing off of the tape. I'm gonna use the third row end of the design to mark it up with the gap in between the body. Place it all the way towards the back. Give it a nice push down.
Once you've made sure it's nice and tight, repeat the exact same process for the front and rear on the other side, and you're installation's complete.
We've just finished up the installation of the black Mopar entry seal guards fitting your 2018 JL Wrangler. They look really awesome, plus they're gonna serve a great purpose when you get in and out of the Jeep to protect your seal plates, and not chip off any of that paint. Took about twenty minutes to get them installed, and you can find them right here at CJPonyParts.com.
