Novice skill is required for this installation.
These Mopar mud guards are sold as a pair and today we're gonna install them on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler.
Tools you'll need for this installation. Phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, a marker, 3/32 drill bit, 1/4 inch drill bit, a drill and safety glasses.
All right. These mud flaps are gonna mount right here on the front fenders, but before we can install them there's a few holes that we have to drill first. The first thing we're gonna do is remove the rivets on the fender. Grab yourself a Phillips screwdriver and push in the center of the rivet.
Place the splash guard in place, then you're gonna need to mark a whole right here to be drilled and then three more over here. Grab a 3/32 drill bit and drill a whole where you marked it on the fender. Pull the inner fender out and place the provided clips on the upper and lower hole. Don't put them on the whole that you just drilled through. Grab a 1/4 inch drill bit and drill out the three other holes that you marked on the inner fender.
Put the splash guard on and install your three screws that go on the fender. The last three holes are for these push clips. Now, just repeat the process for the other side and our installation's finished.
Okay, we got our Mopar splash guards installed. I love the way they look. They make our Jeep look a lot more finished and they match the rear guards nicely. They're gonna keep it a lot cleaner and installation was super easy. We didn't have to remove the wheel. It should only take about 20 to 30 minutes and before you know it, you'll be heading off-road.
