These splash guards are genuine Mopar products made of high-quality plastic and rubber composite that easily mount to the rear bumper. They'll keep your Jeep clean and protected when you're on and off the road, and they can even be painted to match the rest of your Jeep.
They feature a nice Jeep logo, so you can show off your Jeep pride, and today we're going to install them on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler.
Tools you'll need for this installation. A marker, 1/8 inch drill bit, a drill, Philips screwdriver and safety glasses.
Okay. These splash guards are actually really easy to install. They just go right here on the rear bumper. Now, we did take our wheel off, just because we have larger tires on here and there isn't much room, but all we need to do is mark five holes and drill them and then put the screws in. There's one hole on the bottom, and then four up top that we have to mark.
We're just going to make our four marks a little bit more invisible, and then don't forget the one down here. Grab an 1/8 inch drill bit and drill out all five holes. Make sure you get the fifth hole on the bottom of the bumper. Now, install the splash guard with the provided screws. You don't want to make all these tight just yet, just get all five installed, then you can make them all tight.
Now, we just have to repeat the process on the other side, and we're finished with the rear. Okay, our Jeep splash guards are installed, and I'm a big fan of splash guards on pretty much any vehicle, so of course, I absolutely love the way they look on here. They give it a nice and finished look, and they're going to protect it a little bit more. Installation was super easy. It should only take about 20 to 30 minutes and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
