Note: These instructions are for the pre-painted 3dCarbon GT500 spoiler on a 2010-2013 Ford Mustang with a factory spoiler installed. If you do not have a factory spoiler, or purchased the unpainted 3dCarbon spoiler, please follow the 3dCarbon instructions.
1. To begin, compare the stock rear wing and your new 3dCarbon 691604 GT500 rear spoiler.

2. Open the trunk, then locate and remove all of the plastic grommets holding the trunk liner using a regular screwdriver. Then, pull away and remove the trunk liner.

3. Locate and remove the four stock bolts using a 10mm socket. Be careful not to drop the bolts into the trunk frame openings. Two of the bolts are covered by round, black rubber weather seals; remove these to access the bolts. Your new GT500 spoiler will use these same mounting holes.

4. Carefully remove the stock rear wing. Close the deck lid and carefully lift one side of the spoiler up. Using a thin razor knife, carefully slice the foam gasket adhesive that secures and seals the leg to the paint surface. Repeat for other side.
5. Using an adhesive remover, remove the residue left by the original stock sticky-tape. Completely remove all original adhesive left behind from your factory Mustang spoiler. This may require a plastic blade and a soft buffing/polishing tool.

6. Fully clean and dry the entire trunk surface to prepare it for the 3dCarbon spoiler's installation.

7. Attach the four threaded inserts into the new Mustang rear spoiler and hand-tighten. Note the air holes on the bottom of the spoiler. Make sure they are clear and do not fill these! They are there for ventilation. Place new wing in position on the trunk so that the four stock bolt locations line up with new wing.

8. Install the four bolts on the underside of the trunk and hand-tighten. Recheck the new rear wing alignment, ensuring proper position and clearance on the sides. Using a 10mm socket, tighten the four bolts. Replace the trunk liner and all of the plastic grommets. Installation of your new 3dCarbon GT500 rear spoiler is complete!
