Tools Required:

- Ratchet & Sockets
- Screw Drivers
Install Difficulty:
- Moderate Project
1. To begin installing your new Mustang Bolt-On Sub Frame Connectors, remove the weight from the wheels by lifting the vehicle and placing it on jack stands so that all four wheels are hanging freely. Place the jack stands under the front and rear sub frame on both sides.
2. Locate the trapezoidal portion of the forward sub frame and remove the triangular portions on each side, as shown below.

3. If there are Mustang leaf springs currently installed on the car, remove the front eye bolt and locate the threaded hole in the rear sub frame.

4. Place the rear of the Mustang sub frame connector against the inboard side of the rear sub frame, then pass the supplied 1/2 inch-13x7 inch bolt through the sub frame connector and leaf spring eye hole. Thread on the nut, but do not tighten fully.

5. Place the 3/8 inch lock washer on the 3/8 inch bolt and attach the lower flange of the sub frame connector to the sub frame.

6. With the rear portion of the sub frame connector attached, lower the rear of the car and remove it from the jack stands. Re-jack the car and place the jack stands on either side of the rear end assembly so that the weight of the car is carried by the front sub frame connectors and the rear end assembly. Caution: Ignoring this step will result in residual stress in the sub frame that will weaken its overall strength.
7. Using the holes in the front pocket of the Mustang sub frame connector as a guide, drill two 13/32 inch holes through the side of the front sub frame and secure with supplied 3/8 inch x 3.5 inch bolt and lock nut.

8. Lower car from stands and enjoy your new Mustang Bolt-On Sub Frame Connectors!
