If you're dropping in a new Chrome Valve Cover into your 1965-1995 Mustang, finish the installation with this set of Chrome Valve Cover Bolts. These sharp chrome valve cover bolts feature an officially licensed Ford logo and a separate stud, which permits precise gasket positioning on the head prior to mounting the valve covers.
Tools Required:
- 7/16-inch Wrench
- 7/16-inch Deep Well Socket
- Extension
- Ratchet
- #2 Phillips Screw Driver

1. To install your new Mustang Chrome Valve Cover Bolt Set, start by removing only one valve cover bolt at a time, so you can leave the valve cover on the engine. By removing only one bolt at a time you can maintain the gasket’s seal. If you're installing a new valve cover on your engine, you can skip this step.
2. With the Mustang valve cover in place, install the “stud” portion of the new bolt with a Phillips screw driver.
3. Thread on the nut portion of the stud kit. Tighten it to approximately 10 foot pounds with 7/16-inch wrench or socket, whichever is best for the particular stud you are working on. Repeat until all 12 ugly, old bolts are replaced with your new Mustang Chrome Valve Cover Bolt Set.
