Mustang Heater Blower Motor Switch (1965-1966) Installation Instructions
This 3-Speed Heater Blower Motor Switch only fits 1965-1966 Mustangs that were built after 4/1/65. Earlier Mustangs used a 2-speed switch.

1. The Mustang heater blower motor switch is located behind the heater control panel. The best place to access this is from the instrument panel. If you do not have factory A/C, then you might be able to reach it from under the dash. Remove the six screws on the instrument bezel. Slide the bezel out and disconnect the speedometer cable. Next disconnect the instrument wire harness.
2. Now the switch is in clear view. It is not necessary, but you can remove the cigarette lighter for more space. Take the ratchet and socket and remove the one screw that holds it in place. Unplug the other end of the switch from the resistor on the front of the Mustang heater box under the dash.

3. Once this is removed you must remove the switch knob on the face of the heater control assembly with an Allen wrench. The screw is under the knob.
4. The switch can be removed completely.
5. Simply do the reverse to install your new Mustang heater blower motor switch.
