Mustang Project Cars

Mustang Project Cars
As a retailer of thousands of Ford Mustang parts that fit any year of Mustang, we've become quite the experts on anything Mustang. However, not every one of our customers shares that same expertise. Therefore, we have a small fleet of Mustangs at our disposal that we can use to give you, our loyal customers, some tips how to upgrade your own Ford Mustang, or to give you some ideas on styling. We spend hours back in the shop learning how to install new parts and learning what works and what doesn't. Each of these Mustang project cars has several videos available, taking you step-by-step through and installation or showing you how we've applied these installations at the track. Check them out and let us know if you have any ideas for the future--we're always looking for new projects and new Mustang builds!
  • The EcoBoost

    The EcoBoost

    2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost
For 2015, Ford added an all-new Mustang to the line-up. This model features an 2.3L EcoBoost four cylinder engine that makes over 300 horsepower. We had to have one for ourselves to test out, modify and see how well it would perform. Follow along with our progress!
  • The GT

    The GT

    2015 Mustang GT
The all-new 2015 Mustang GT is a huge upgrade over the previous edition, so we had to get one to test and modify. Between the upgraded design, IRS and revised 5.0L, there were lots of changes from Ford, and we'll make many more. Follow along with our progress.
  • The Anniversary Edition

    The Anniversary Edition Mustangs

Two 2015 Mustang GT Anniversary Editions
To commemorate the Mustang's 50th Anniversary, Ford developed a limited release anniversary edition. CJ's purchased two of the 1,964 copies of these collector cars...not for modification, but to keep in our showroom in pristine condition for all to see. Here's some details on these unique Mustangs.
  • Forgotten Fastback Mustang

    Forgotten Fastback

    1965 Ford Mustang Fastback
This Ford Mustang project car was truly forgotten, and had been left to rust and rot in the salvage yard for years until we found it. We're planning to turn this into a true resto-mod, with both classic styling and modern conveniences. See how we've restored this 1965 Ford Mustang fastback and see what plans we have in store for our Forgotten Fastback!
  • Weekend Wrench Mustang

    Weekend Wrench

    1965 Ford Mustang Coupe
For a reasonable price, anyone can acquire a classic Mustang that, with a little bit of work on the weekends, can become a true show car. That's what we've done with the Weekend Wrench, our 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. See how we're taking this basic, drivable Mustang and turning into a car we'll be proud of.
  • Gotta Have it Race

    Gotta Have It Race

    2013 Ford Mustang GT
A few years ago, with Project B.O.B., we demonstrated how we could take a basic 2005 Mustang and turn it into a racing machine with only a few bolt-on modifications. Now, with our 2013 Ford Mustang GT, Gotta Have It Race, we're doing the same thing, just with the legendary 5.0 V8, meaning it's faster. See what we've done and how we're doing on the track.
  • Gotta Have It Street

    Gotta Have It Street

    2013 Ford Mustang GT
Many owners of new Mustangs aren't interested in racing them--they just want to show them off! Well, that's the whole point behind Gotta Have It Street, our 2013 Ford Mustang GT. We're installing dozens of dress-up and styling parts, to give you an idea of how to do this to your Mustang, and show you how amazing you can make a Mustang look with a few simple parts.
