Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not 16" diameter as described Effective airflow and cooling but does not work with AC, automatic and the ACP FM-ER302 3 row aluminum radiator. It is not 16" diameter as listed. More like 16 5/8. So it hits the transmission cooling lines. If you put it further back (no spacer) it hits the AC compressor. After talking to someone with the same fan at a meet, I did the same thing and cut it down so that it was actually 16". With a 1/2" spacer it now clears everything. If you don't have the ability to do this and run the same set up (the guy at the meet had a stock radiator) then this won't work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Cooling Way better airflow into the engine compartment compared to the original 14” 4 blade fan, I also installed a Reische 170 degree thermostat. I had replaced the radiator with a new 3 row radiator but driving in stop and go traffic in 90-100 degree weather there was just not enough air movement on a car the has headers and a 2 bbl carb. Considered installing electric fans but the new fan and thermostat has worked great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfit fit The fan is much better than the original 4 blade. Be advised that you will have to swap out the original fan spacer with a 1 inch spacer, this is due to the additional pitch of the blades on the 6 bla

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful fan This fan really pulls air. It’s heavier and has more blades so it takes some engine power but keeps things cool on our straight six with added AC. We had to get a 1/2” spacer for our application as the blades have a wider stance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incorrectly named See the description of this blade? It measures 16-7/8" tip to tip. The one that I just rec'd has a red label, as shown, but calls the blade to be a 16" fan blade. Your bad!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not 16" This is a 17" fan. Wasted time taking old fan off, installing this fan, taking this fan off, reinstalling the old fan. Advise measuring first.

Is this a clutch fan?  Will fit a 68 with I6 or is there a comparable one?  If not a clutch fan do you have one for a 68 I6 with AC?

Asked by: Winch
This is an engine cooling fan and only fits 1965-1967 Mustangs. Look up CJ part # FAN40.

Will it work with no air. It overheat but, not fluid loss. Stalls out, hard to restart and when it does, stalls out again. Really bad.

Asked by: 6 BANGER
No, it requires Mustangs with air conditioning.
