Rancho’s Front and Rear RS5000X Shock Absorber Kit utilizes progressive engagement valving that allows the fluid in the shock to flow earlier than usual to reduce the impact harshness when hitting obstacles or potholes. This valving also helps to minimize a harsh ride while driving on rough roads. Custom tuned clamp disc base valves regulate the transfer of fluid during the compression cycle to reduce disc flutter during impacts for better vehicle control. The shock’s body has a 2-1/4” diameter which allows for greater fluid capacity and keeps the operation of the shock cooler for increased vehicle control and performance at different speeds and over varied terrains. These shocks are gas pressurized to 150 PSI, which comes with a variety of benefits such as minimizing air-to-oil mixture and boosting the spring rate! The 35mm bore with Full-displaced compression valving displaces more fluid than a traditional rod displaced valving, providing an amplified control of shock motion.

For a durable construction, these RS5000X Shocks feature 16mm nitro-carburized rods that are scuff resistant for better corrosion resistance, and 1.375” sintered iron pistons for added structural conformity. Double welded loops add to the shocks strength and durability, while the installed natural rubber bushings reduce and absorb ride harshness and road noise for a more enjoyable ride in your JK. Smooth piston travel and improved responsiveness are provided by composite glass-filled, Fluon banded pistons that despite road conditions offer smooth operation.

To prolong the shocks performance and provide a quick rebound and smooth compression cycle are low friction, self-lubricating seals that help to retain gas and oil. With help from the included dust boot, this seal also adds a layer of protection against dirt and other debris.
