Rancho manufactures this Rear RS5000X Shock Absorber for all 2018-2022 Jeep JL Wranglers with a 2-inch to 3-1/2-inch Lift because they know how much your ride quality and handling can change after lifting your Wrangler. With new and innovative technology, this shock will enhance your performance and control at different speeds on a variety of different terrain so you can take on whatever you come across.
The performance enhancing technology in this shock (P/N: RS55066) will have you feeling in complete control. For early fluid flow when hitting obstacles or potholes and reducing the harshness of impact, this shock integrates progressive engagement valving. The design includes progressive rebound and compression discs that will engage the valving at lower frequencies to help control the motion energy. A custom tuned clamp disc base valve helps regulate fluid transfer during compression cycles to absorbs impacts without disc flutter for better handling and control and uneven terrain. Another important and unique feature is the patented rebound valving system and advanced compression phase. This process was developed by ride experts to elevate the overall control and performance of your JL on and off the road while reducing body roll and preventing rod over-extension inside the shock.

This shock's twin body measures 2-1/4" in diameter for greater fluid capacity to keep the shock operating cooler and provides increased control and performance at different speeds on a variety of terrain. The 35mm bore and full displaced compression valving displaces more fluid than comparable rod displacing valving for amplified shock motion control, and the sintered iron, fluon banded piston provides smoother piston travel and greater responsiveness to changing road conditions. Gas pressurization reduces foaming caused by air-to-oil mixture and shock fade while boosting spring rate. Engineers put special attention into stress ares, like mounting points, and used double-welded loops for added strength and durability over time. To further prolong performance and allow for quicker rebound and smoother compression, Rancho has integrated a low friction, self lubricating seal that retains gas and oil. Natural black rubber bushings and a red polyvinyl accordion protective boot are included to protect the shock from dust, debris and other contaminants.
