Rear Axle Kit With Yukon Dura Grip Positraction 31 Spline 5-Lug 8.8" 1994-1998

Product Description

31 Spline 5-Lug Rear Axle Kit with a Yukon Dura Grip Positraction Differential for all 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 Mustangs with a 8.8" Rear End.

This kit includes high-quality rear axle shafts from Yukon Gear & Axle. Aftermarket axle shafts can mean the difference between first and last in competition applications in addition to offering higher strength and longer life in street driven vehicles. Yukon Gear & Axle uses only the highest quality steel and chrome-moly alloys for their axle shafts and the latest in heat treating and manufacturing technologies. Yukon Gear & Axle has the strength you need for on or off the race track.

Also includes a Yukon Dura Grip positraction differential that features a 4-spring, clutch style limited slip which traces its roots back to the muscle car positractions of the 1960's. Yukon Dura Grips provide great traction and strength, without being too aggressive for street use. The Yukon Dura Grip uses a nodular case and forged 4320 internals for added strength along with composite clutches for high performance and long life. Yukon Dura Grips are fully rebuildable, allowing for repair or modification without the cost of purchasing a new unit. All Yukon Dura Grips are assembled in the USA.

Axle Kit Includes:
-Yukon 31 spline 5-lug c-clip rear axle shafts (2)
-Yukon 8.8" Dura Grip positraction differential
-Axle bearings and seals
-Carrier bearings and races

Product Questions

How can you tell what gears I have in my mustang 97 gt

Asked by: Rob97
There should be a tag attached to one of the bolts that hold the rear cover on that will identify what the gear ratio is. If there isn't a tag than the cover can be removed and the ratio should be marked on the gears themselves, or you can count the number of teeth on the gears and figure it out from there.

how much horse power can this axle kit handle ?  will it fit my stock 8.8 rear end?

Asked by: mustang1991
This will fit your stock rear, the manufacturer does not provide a horsepower rating because things like tire size and type, vehicle weight, driving style, are just some of the reasons they cant accurately determine a rating.
