Rigid Industries LED Light Bar Radiance Plus 50" With Backlight

Today on CJ Off-Road we're going to show you how light up the trails in your JK.

When you're out on the trail, you can use as much light as possible. So today we're going to be looking at this 50" Rigid Industries Amber Radiance Plus Light Bar fitting your 2007 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler. This 50" Radiance Plus Light Bar features improved LED technology with 35% more raw lumens over the previous Radiance series. It's constructed out of a high-grade aluminum alloy housing with a new black exposed circuit board. It features a built-in amber back lighting that can be used on the trails to accent your Jeep. It includes a wiring harness, a multi trigger switch, mounting brackets and even the installation hardware. So today we're going to get it installed on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler.

Now we're about ready to get our 50" Radiance Plus Light Bar mounting out '08 Jeep Wrangler. We've already got the Rigid Industries 50" Light Bar brackets mounted. We recommend these as they're going to be the perfect width for the 50" Rigid Bars. Now we have to install some hardware before we throw it on and we're not going use the included brackets, since we're going to be mounting it above the roof. Before we out the light bar on, we're going to install the supplied hardware. We're going to start with a bolt and slide it in through the back. And then we're going to actually use this black spacer plate, make sure that the notch is facing inwards and towards the back of the light bar. We're going to put our washer on over the top of that and then our nut. Repeat the same step on the other side and get it installed.

We're ready to put the light bar on the bracket. Now I did get an extra set of hands to help me pick this up and actually put it on at the top of the bracket. Now we're going to get both nuts tightened up with a 7/16" socket. After you get the light bar mounted up on top of the brackets, the next step is going to be the wiring. Now Rigid Industries does include a harness for the light bar. It utilizes a two switch design that allows you to turn on the back light as well as the standard light on two separate switches. Now in our case, we already have a trigger system wired up so we're going to get it mounted onto there and show you how it works.

Now let's see what this thing looks like lit up. Now we've got our studio completely blacked out, let's see what it looks like with the light bar turned on. Now let's see how the amber backlight looks. We just finished up the install of our 50" Radiance Plus Light Bar on our JK and it looks really great. The light bar's extremely bright when you have it on and then amber back lighting is a really cool feature. Now you can install this in about 15 minutes with basic hand tools.
