We're going to stabilize our JL Wrangler by adding a duel steering stabilizer.

If you're looking to beef up the front suspension of your JL Wrangler then you're going to want to check out this Rough County N3 duel steering stabilizer fitting your 2018 JL Wrangler. This Rough Country duel steering stabilizer kit includes everything that you need to get it bolted up on your brand new Wrangler. It includes quarter inch thick steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish. As well as Rough Country's new N3 premium steering stabilizers. This kit is going to change up the front of your suspension by adding a second steering stabilizer making it much more resistant to bumps on the road, and making the steering experience much better.

Now it's going to be a simple bolt on installation as it includes all the necessary hardware. So let's get our Jeep up on the lift and get this thing installed. Tools you need for this installation, 3/8 inch ratchet, 13MM socket, 14MM socket, 18MM socket, 3/4 inch socket, 3/4 inch box wrench and a lifter or jack and jack stands.

We've got our Jeep up in the air using a lift, you can do this with a jack and jack stands, just make sure you jack up the front axle and put some stands under the frame, so you can let that axle droop. Now the first step is actually going to be to remove this factory bracket using a 13MM socket. So let's get started with that. Make sure you hang onto all this hardware, I'm just going to put them right back in to the original spots as you will be reusing them. Remove the 18MM bolt holding on this side of the stabilizer.

As you can see we're already running the Rough Country single steering stabilizer, and this has been great for the past few months. However, we're going to step it up to the duel today by getting rid of this one. Honestly it's been a great stabilizer, but we like to put on new parts on our JL. So figured it was time for a change. Now we can get this pulled out of the way.

There are two bolts that hold on this original steering stabilizer bracket, they're going to use an 18MM socket to get them both off. We're going to pull both of these off, that way we can ditch this bracket. Now you can remove the bracket.

We're going to install the center bracket now, make sure that you install the RC bracket right up front here for the shocks, you insert the bolt through the bottom and then the bracket, and then the center bracket. Put a washer on there and then a nut, just so it stays on, and then we'll slide this over the axle. Reinstall that hardware that you just pulled out on the top, and on the side. Get them tightened up with the 13MM socket.

Install this U bolt from the back of the axle to the front through that bracket you just installed. You use the included mechanical lock nuts onto there. Get them tightened down with the 14MM socket. Pre install one of these stabilizer shock bolts by putting it through the bottom then using a washer and a nut. Then you're going to put this behind the tire rod, and grab your smaller U bolts go through the front to the back. Use the mechanical lock nuts, just get them started, on the top and one on the bottom. I'll spin it around here, so you guys can see what I'm doing.

Now with those on we'll spin it around, make sure they're straight, and we'll get them tightened down. Make sure it's nice and tight, repeat the same process on the other side.

Now it's time to install your steering stabilizers, put it out like this with the rod end being on this side towards your wheel. I'll first get it on in the center, the washer and a lock nut over top of there. We'll get them tightened down then, as you can see I've got to push this in a little bit. Same thing over here, washer and nut. Then do the same thing on the other side, then we'll come back and get everything tightened up.

These are going to use a 3/4 inch socket and a 3/4 inch wrench to get them tightened up. Now let’s put the decals on the front, and our install is complete.

Well we just wrapped up the install of this Rough County JL duel steering stabilizer onto our 2018. It looks really great, plus it's going to really stabilize the front end of our Jeep when we're out on the trail or on the highway. You only need basic mechanics tools to get this installed and about an hour of your time. You can do it with a jack and jack stands right in your driveway, and it can be found right here at
