This intake system features two important benefits: the latent potential in power and fuel efficiency, and reduced pressure drop. Custom tuning isn’t necessary since this CAI system's been engineered and tested specifically for this application. This kit has increased inlet and airbox sizing to allow for maximum airflow, and provides added induction noise for that aggressive performance sound. Roush designed this intake using OEM CAD data to guarantee optimized fitment, keep out heat and encourage maximum performance.

The high-flow, high-capacity dry filter is proven to retain its shape and is composed of an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for durability and reliability. This filter is washable and no oiling is required. This kit uses EPDM rubber couplers for the correct fitment under engine load, rocking and twisting, and will not void your factory warranty. Factory mounting locations and necessary hardware are used for quick and simple installation.

Kit Includes:
- Air filter with clamp
- EPDM rubber couplers
- Oversized injection-molded air box tray
- Clean air tube

Roush Cold Air Intake Kit 2.7L/3.5L EcoBoost F-150 2018-2019/F-150 Raptor 2017-2019 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. This was probably the most simple cold air systems I’ve installed on a vehicle. Instructions were very clear and CJ video was helpful also. Looks great on the truck. Slight increase in intake sound but I may try taking the cover off to see if that makes a bigger difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roush CAI for 17 Raptor As always a high quality Roush product. The install was easy & took no time. I was shocked how quite the engine remained, it was what I had hoped for. It feels like she has additional pep but likely more mental.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Manufacturing Installed this CAI on my 2018 Raptor. After install, I noticed hard shifts in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears in sport mode. Later, the engine light came on -- "crankcase ventilation system disconnected." I removed the CAI and put the stock intake back on. Hard shifts went away and no more engine light. But that was after a $99 diagnostic from the Ford service department and 2 hours of missed work. When looking at one side of intake tube, I noticed a flat spot and rough edges. I will never purchase a Roush product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install, improves efficiency. No issues with fit during install, but the template I cut out from the Roush website didn't match the holes on the mounting bracket. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE HOLE PLACEMENT BEFORE DRILLING - luckily I did. I have about 1,500 miles on my truck since buying this intake. I haven't noticed any change in power, but it definitely appears to add 2-3 MPGs when driving at a low highway speed, so it'll pay for itself eventually.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great product but..... The holes from the hand drawn template were a little off and the holes for the air filter to match up to the air filter assembly have to be lined up just right. Another minor issue was the self tapping screws with the torx heads did not screw into the air intake assembly as shown on the video. I would recommend getting screws for the view box cap that have some kind of wrench or bit head in case you need to take the top off to get to the air filter. Otherwise strip city is where you might head to like I did. Now with the great part of the review and that is that CJ Pony Parts shipped the intake to my house and all the parts were there and I did not find any damage to the intake parts. I like the design of having the view box top to help protect the filter and the filter is nice and beefy. I hope to have the old torx self tapping screws out and after replacing those, I cannot wait to see how this intake performs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great intake for f-150 I really like the design and how the air box is covered similar to the factory setup. I notice the biggest gain in power on the higher rpm range above 40 mph. Just be careful with the lid screws because they can strip if you do not have the correct bit to fit the screw.

Roush Cold Air Intake Kit 2.7L/3.5L EcoBoost F-150 2018-2019/F-150 Raptor 2017-2019 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: Today on CJ Off Road, we're gonna help out 2018 F150 breathe a little better with some help from Roush.

One of the easiest ways to improve the performance and efficiency of your truck, is with a nice cold air intake. So, today we're going to be installing this Roush cold air intake on our 2018 F150. This Roush cold air intake is designed to be an easy direct fit replacement for the factory intake on your EcoBoost F150 and Raptor. It features a high flow polyethylene intake tube with a massive pre-oiled air filter and it's protected by a two piece housing with an inspection window. It reduces intake restrictions by 25% for improved performance and efficiency and the best part is, it won't void your warranty.

Tools you'll need for this installation, seven millimeter socket, eight millimeter socket, 5/16th socket, 10 millimeter socket, T-30 torques bit and extension, quarter inch ratchet, 13 millimeter socket, 3/8th ratchet, a center punch, 17/64th drill bit, a drill and safety glasses.

Okay, installing this intake is pretty simple. The first thing we have to do is obviously remove the factory one. We're going to disconnect these two clips on the air box. We'll loosen up these two hose clamps. Use a seven millimeter socket to get these hose clamps off. This one’s a bit trickier to get to just because it's hidden on the back side. Lift up on the intake to remove it, twist this sensor to remove it and then you can unplug it and this will transferred over to your new Roush intake.

Remove this 13 millimeter bolts that secures the bottom portion of the air box. You can use a pen or removal tool, or a flat head screwdriver to remove this from the air box. Remove the two clips on the front of the air scoop and now the whole assembly can come out.

Okay, we're over on the table now and you want to go to Roush’s website and print out the template for this intake. We're going to cut this out and use this to drill two holes on the air box. Place the template over the air box and use a punch to mark the two holes. Now drill the holes with a 17/64th's drill bit.

Now we're going to mount the bracket that comes with the kit, with the provided bolts. Tighten the bolts with an eight millimeter socket. We're going to separate the factor air scoop from the air box by removing this screw. Then, we're going to transfer the air scoop over to the Roush air box. Secure the scoop to the Roush housing with the factory screw. Remove the sleeve and bushing from the factory air box and install this back on to the truck.

Reinstall the bolt and the bushing into the factory location on the truck. Our Roush intake will attach to it by just sliding over it. You don't need to crank down on it too hard, just make it snug. Install the Roush air box into the truck, reinstall the two clips up front. Reattach this clip to the bracket that you bolted to the air box. Install your filter adapter onto the air filter. Install your filter into the air box and attach it with the provided hardware.

Assemble all the couplers and clamps on to the Y pipe, then install it. Get it all situated and then tighten down all the clamps. Take the extension harness that comes with the kit and plug it into the intake sensor connector. This will allow the sensor to go right here. Install the sensor, twist it to lock it and plug it in.

The final step is, if you want to, you can install the inspection window on top of the air box, or you can leave this off if you want. And it's gets secured with the provided screws. And our installation is finished.

Okay, we got our Roush cold air intake installed on our 2018 F150. It looks a lot better under the hood and it's going to help our truck to breathe a lot better than the factory intake too. To get even more performance out of it, you could remove this inspection window if you want. Install was pretty easy. It shouldn't take you more than an hour and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
