Rugged Ridge Windshield Light Bar Kit With Three 13-1/2" LED Bars Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018

Adding additional lighting to your off road vehicle is obviously a very popular thing to do and with a Jeep there is no different. With a Jeep there's all kinds of different ways you can add additional lighting. This LED windshield light bar from Rugged Ridge will be a direct bolt on to all 2007 through 2017 Jeep Wranglers. Comes with a heavy duty steel frame with a black textured finish and three ultra-bright 13.5" wide LED light bars. All necessary hardware is included. Today we are going to show you how to install it using our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

For this installation need a 3/8" ratchet, 17mm socket, T40 torques bit, 13mm wrench, 17mm wrench, and wiring installation tools.

We're going to start the installation with the wiring. Now, there are a couple of different options here. When you order this kit, it includes a single wiring harness for each of these individual lights. Now to do that it's going to be kind of difficult to wire that together. Also, in our case we don't need a aftermarket switch which is included, because we already have some aftermarket switch assemblies in our jeep we're going to use. What we're going to do we're going to fish our main harness through the bar down here. Then once it's fished through we'll make connections for the three lights.

Now we're going to assemble the extensions to the bar itself. Get is snug. You don't want to over crank it just yet. You want a little play on these when you line it up. I am going to grab the provided hardware. You want to get that hardware that comes with the bar, not the hardware that comes in the boxes with the lights, 'cause once you get down in here you'll never be able to actually tighten them down.

How to prepare a Jeep for installation, we got to start by removing these six bolts. Two, four, six on this side, then same thing on the other side. You want to make sure you keep these handy, because we are going to reuse them for installation. All right, now we are ready to install our Rugged Ridge light bar. To do this, it is a two man job. You want to get somebody to grab that side, someone to grab this side, 'cause we have to fish the wire down and then put the bar into place. The bar mounted, now we can tighten up the sides. Moving onto the wiring.

Now, here is the Rugged Ridge Windshield Light Bar lit up from about 15 feet away from the wall. As you can see, this is extremely bright. Like I said, if you're looking to add only one thing to really light up the road in front of you, this would be the way to go.
