Product Description

Scott Drake Halogen FoMoCo Headlight for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs.

Equip your Mustang with a new Scott Drake Halogen FoMoCo Headlight C0DZ-13007-A featuring authentic Ford markings and upgraded Halogen performance! You'll see more clearly while restoring your pony's original headlamp style with this easy-to-install sealed headlight!

This is a reproduction of a very desirable and rare version headlight used on classic 1965-1968 and 1970-1973 Mustangs. Scott Drake took NOS new original Ford bulbs and duplicated them in appearance while improving them with Halogen lighting technology.

Over the years Ford offered two 'FoMoCo' script versions: one sand blasted etched logo, and the other a prominent reverse raised 'FoMoCo' logo about 7/8" wide. Scott Drake chose to reproduce the rare, highly sought reverse raised logo version, which is more attractive and easier to read.

Halogen headlights produce more than double the lighting power of original Tungsten bulbs. Perfect for drivers or trailer queens, this sealed halogen headlamp from Scott Drake is a great safety improvement but also maintains an original look. With premium quality materials and increased durability, this Scott Drake headlight would be a great improvement for your classic Mustang! Order two and update both your driver side and passenger side headlamps today!

Scott Drake Headlight Halogen FoMoCo 1965-1968/1970-1973 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product at a real value Did some research and found a broad batch of products and price ranges, watched the video and was impressed with the look, price and result so I took a change and am very happy I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice quality product Great product very bright good quality love the ford emblem very athentic but with new technology

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme Brightness I installed these lights to replace my old dim halogen bulbs and the result was incredible. However these tend pull more current and may cause the headlights to come on and off as a result of the headlight switch circuit breaker opening and closing due to the heat of the current passing through the switch. The safest fix is to install a Painless Wiring Headlight Relay Conversion Harness p/n 30815. The results are worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome headlights Installed easily. Much brighter than the original headlights. One arrived shattered, but a quick call to CJ’s Customer Service, and a replacement was shipped out free of charge. No hassle. No questions asked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice and bright the headlights fit good and really brighten things up, no more yellow light. the only thing is the shipping was really weird and took some time the box left CJ Pony on UPS then UPS delivered to the USPS and it took USPS 2days then they left a note and had to go to the post office to pick it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Bright These ill make your car much safer. Found a wire harness on e-bay for 25 to run these straight off the battery, hid the wires the best I could and with the ford logo they look factory, but light up the whole street compared to my old setup-very nice!!
Date published: 2015-03-07
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Original appearance These lights look original and are super easy to install. The only issue is that they also have the same light intensity and color as the originals. I was expecting a brighter white light, but unfortunately they still only put out a dim yellow light.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How should these fit with headlight bulb? Is the bowl supposed to sit on top of the three spot welded tabs that are on the back of the Halogen 6024 headlight? That is the way this piece fits with mine, causing the retainer ring not fit against the mounting tabs on the bowl.

Product Questions

Looking at some of the reviews, I have a few questions. Are these headlights going to need a wiring harness as a few explain (as they tend to go on/off)? Are they brighter then the original ones, some say they are some say they are not?

Asked by: Termanater
If using an original wiring harness a headlight relay kit may be necessary. The halogen headlight will be brighter than the original type of headlight.

Are these suited for use in australia, for driving on lhs of the road...or do they aim right (which would suit driving on rhs of the road)

Asked by: Lukee
This is the right hand drive headlight,

Will these work on a 1964 Ford fairlane 500? I've seen similar lights on other sites that say they are a fit, but you have the best price.

Asked by: 64Ford
The vendor has not provided any information regarding cross-fitments of this part to any other model then what is listed.

Low beam is out, but high beam works. Can I change the bulb? I am afraid "sealed" means that I cannot.

Asked by: 88Bear
No, you have to order this whole part and install it to replace the bulb.

Scott Drake Headlight Halogen FoMoCo 1965-1968/1970-1973 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: Of the thousands of products we currently carry here at CJ's, the manufacturer customers usually ask for by name most is Scott Drake.

For over 30 years Scott Drake has produced high-quality Ford-licensed restoration parts for your Mustang.

Starting off with the Trunk Weatherstrip he made while still in high school for a shop teacher, today Scott Drake offers over 9,000 products making them the largest manufacturer of Mustang restoration parts around.

Currently based in Henderson, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas, Scott Drake is expanding his restoration line to include late model Mustang parts under the Drake Muscle Cars name.

Today let's take a closer look at some of their products and the attention to detail Scott Drake puts into them.

This is a replacement Halogen Headlight for '64 through '68, as well as for '70 through '73 Mustang. Halogen has been a popular upgrade for years because they're a lot brighter than the factory bulbs. What makes the Scott Drake product unique is, not only do you get the benefits of a halogen headlight, the glass lens is an exact reproduction of the original right down to the FoMoCo script located in the center.

I installed a Scott Drake halogen bulb just on the driver's side of this recently restored '68 fastback to give you a comparison. The passenger side is a brand new halogen replacement bulb from a major manufacturer. You can see, not only does Scott Drake have the correct lens, it's also far brighter than your standard replacement bulb. You can imagine how much brighter it's going to be than the original.

So if you're looking for the best fitting, highest quality parts for either your restoration or your late model Mustang make sure you check out our selection of Scott Drake products.
