Scott Drake Curved Black Monte Carlo Bar for 1967-1968 Mustangs.

This premium-quality Monte Carlo bar from Scott Drake was originally developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks. Copied from the original design, Scott Drake's bars feature a new thicker diameter tube and improved fender brackets.

This beautiful flat black bar features stamped square holes in the top of each fender bracket to allow for the use of lower profile carriage bolts. The curved design of Scott Drake's bar allows for extra clearance for an oval air cleaner and taller aftermarket distributors. Order your upgraded Monte Carlo bar today from CJ's!

Scott Drake has become an iconic brand that redefines quality for reproduction and aftermarket Mustang parts for 1965 to present Mustangs, and has become the standard for OEM quality Mustang parts that offer the best fit, durability and quality. Every part is designed to look and function exactly like the original, right down to the tiny details that the manufacturers of standard reproductions tend to ignore. Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a new car With the addition of this and the export brace the rattles and shakes are gone. I could tell the difference just pulling out of the driveway. What a shame Ford didn't put this inexpensive combo on all of their cars from the factory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Burly-strong and great fit. Installation took some persuasion with a soft mallet but nothing crazy that I wasn't expecting. I'd much rather have dealt with that than some flimsier bar that conforms to the car (thus defeating the whole purpose). Pop for the good one – this thing is so solid! A really satisfying and inexpensive improvement to my '68.

I removed the shock towers to put a Mustang 2 ifs. Would this work with the sheet metal that covers the hole?

Asked by: Chacha
It should work although you would have to make new holes for the mounting hardware.
