Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would have been perfect except: Bought this adapter as a kit complete with steering wheel, horn button, and mustang insert. Fit was perfect, wheel makes car nicer to drive. (1970 Boss 302 without p/s). Here's the problems. The description states it telescopes up to an 1 1/4, this is not the case. It's a fixed adapter, there's a collar that slides up and down on the adapter, but your wheel is fixed. Also instructions concerning the horn would be nice. The horn switch can not handle the current directly to the horns. The switch will melt if you try to hook it up directly like factory. You must wire in a relay to handle the high current load. If CJ's would correct the description and mention a relay is required I would have rated this a 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Got to have one...but could be more user friendly Obviously, if you buy the wheel you need the adaptor too. Good quality and good looker, but would have been better with a basic instruction guide as the connectors and indicator cancellors aren't obvious if you've never seen them before, so I ended up fusing the horn whilst removing the old wheel, and the fuse is a real dog to get to if you're not a gymnast. Also, it would have been good if there was the required allen key included as it's a vert small and unusual size

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not for early '67s Adapter works as stated, but not intended for use on early '67 cars with solid steering column shaft. You will short out and melt your horn button! Use STWA8 instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks nice, small imperfection I received this adapter. It looks nice, seems to be made well. There was a small imperfection on the surface, I was surprised it was sent to me with this. Hopefully it wont affect the function. I'll post a pic when available. If I didn't need to drive the car I might have sent it back. Just annoying.

Purchased STWA9 Scott Drake wheel adapter for my 71 Mach1. Installed per yor video.  Wheel doesn't lock anymore when the car is off. I called Scott Drake and they made me leave a message.  No callback. Is this normal when replacing the stock wheel.

Asked by: Ccerrach
The adapter shouldn't affect the locking function.

I had ordered and received a S7MS-3511-P adapter along with a steering and do not have the 9 bolts to mount the steering wheel. Do you supply them?

Asked by: Linski
The bolts should have been with the adapter. Please call toll free at 1-800-888-6473 and speak with a customer service rep.
