Seat Track Extender Kit for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Mustangs.

You want to enjoy your Mustang but you're a taller person and the Pony's leg room just doesn't quite cut it. We have the fix for you with this Seat Track Extender Kit that fits all 2005-2014 Mustangs. This kit adds up to three extra inches of leg room in front of your seat so you can get in, get out and drive comfortably. The seat track extenders mount between the seat track and the floor. In the process of moving your seat rearward, it also raises the seat about 3/4". The kit may be used for either the driver side seat or passenger side seat but the kit only modifies one seat.

Kit Includes:
- Two seat track extension bars
- Four 5/16"-24 x 1 grade 8 bolts
- Four 3/8" lock washers
- Two 10mm nuts
- Two 10mm lock washers

Being a taller person doesn't mean you can't enjoy all the Mustang has to offer. Our seat track extension kit will get you in your Mustang and out on the road while not feeling like your cramped up in a small box.

Kit does one seat.

Please Note: When seat tracks are fully extended, the rear seat in your Mustang is not usable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be patient and it will work I got these as a gift and finally got around to installing. First I don't have a grinder but I used a dremel with a grinding wheel. I took my time and once the fastener was cut I worked the piece that was being removed a little and it came right off. Once I got the seat back into the car the front holes seemed like they weren't going to line up but they did with a little work. I got one lined up and put in a bolt part way, then pulled the opposite track a fraction of an inch by hand and held it in place while I put in the other bolt. After all that it was just a matter of tightening everything up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They work....but the install was more "involved" These work. If your tall get a set. I was tired my knee being part of the lower dash; near the radio. They really do as they say and offer more leg room. The issue is that the install took a lot more than I was expecting. The holes didnt match up all that well but you can make it work with more drilling and grinding. Overall im happy with the extender. I suggest doing the install only if you have plenty of time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems!!!! The seat extenders themselves are a very nice item. Hardware sucks. The front bolts don't clear the track. You need to change our hardware for button head bolts. Also predrilled and tapped holes do not line up. Have to grind river hole on track to line up with ore drilled holes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be prepared to modify and have patience Like several other reviewers have claimed, this is NOT a plug and play engineered product. Grinding the factory rivet heads off the stock seat tracks takes patience and time to do it right. Biggest problem is the forward mount holes on the brackets are about 1/4-inch more narrow than the holes on the stock seat channel rails. The stock holes are 16-inches on center while the holes on the brackets are about 15 3/4-inch. Slotting the holes in the seal channel brackets will cure the problem, but just something else to deal with. Second, the factory steel rivets were used to maintain clearance for the seat to move forward. The 5/16-24 hex head bolt heads are so tall with the split washer they restrict the seat from being able for move full forward. I cured this by using 5/16-24 socket cap screws (mushroom head) and black, but that costs another $2 and a trip to the local auto parts store. Third, those same bolts with the kit are silver which make them standout ugly against the flat black rails and brackets. Fourth - the factory trim pieces that snap onto the back end of the seat tracks have to be trimmed to clear the seat track extenders. Not a big deal but just be aware its something else that wasn't mentioned. Otherwise, once you get past all these little mods and hardware issues, the added 3 inches is amazing and finally allows me to fully extend my legs while driving. A little more attention to detail would make a neat idea a great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seat track extender install Well got it installed with several attempts. Instructions are clear as mud as usual. Grinding the rivet off that holds the front stock bracket on was not to hard. But it doesn't tell you that the hole the rivet was in is the hole that you use to attach the front of seat to extension bracket.. Also the extenders front holes have to be on the inside (they can be on the outside) which it doesn't tell you there is a right or left side. Also that only one of the front holes lines of the seat slide lines up with the extender bracket hole. Other than that after installed does work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid but NOT Precise The product worked as advertised, Cutting off the brackets was a bit trickier than described. The bolt holes did NOT line up right making installation VERY DIFFICULT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Good product and its not bolt on because grind the head on the front bolt for make aroom for slide the seat to the front way and the bolt in the kit its to long

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i fit in a sporty car! If you are tall like me (6'8) you need this in your car. As you can see by reading the other reviews most people who reviewed this product had a hard time getting everything to work. Given i did have some small problems, in the end it was fairly simple. follow the instructions step by step and don't read over anything.note you do need a grinder to grind off 2 rivets holding in the front rail brackets. when installing the final product the holes didn't line up but didn't take much to get in the right place. you most likely need two people for the install. after the install it was amazing to sit in a car that truly fit me. something i didn't know until after the install was that the seat doesn't move as foreword as it did with the original rails. so if you have a 5'2 girl friend who likes driving from time to time she will be ticked to know that she cant reach the peddles anymore. overall a great product

Can I use the STE2 Seat Track Extender on my 2014 Shelby Mustang GT500 with Recaro Seats? It's been mentioned that you can't use the STE2 with my set-up. Mine are manual seats, not power. I will wait for an answer before tackling the project...

Asked by: CarlB
You would most likely need to make modifications to work properly.

Do I need to disconnect the battery before I take the seat out so I do not activate the seat air bag. It says I may need to reset the computer if I get an air bag warning light. Will this reset screw up my Roush supercharger programming.

Asked by: Mitchorama
I would recommend disconnecting the battery anytime you are unplugging and plugin in electrical harnesses, especially ones that are related to the Airbag system. Disconnecting your battery will not interfere with the Roush calibration that has been previously installed.

Are there going to be 15mm bolts in the front brackets I will need to grind off in order to install this in a 2005 Mustang V6 Premium Convertible? This track extender kit becomes the new brackets installed to the seat themselves and floor board?

Asked by: KountryKat
you reuse the bolts, what you grind off is what holds the front of the bracket where the front bolts go. I did this today on my 2006 convertible.
