Shifter Lever 4-Speed 1964-1/2 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 50/50 shot When my shifter cable broke and left me with no reverse we purchased this item to repair our Pony. My friend and Pony Doc. ordered the first one. Installed it and immediately noticed it did not shift correctly. when coming back to the lower gears you had to hunt for the correct path. Had to come about a 1/4 inch off the drivers side of the H to find 1st or 2nd. made it a real pain to down shift. Everything looked correct. we ordered another and when it came in it looked the same ? until we put the calipers on it. The shifter shaft had been welded in at the wrong angle! causing the alignment to be off slightly. Before you install this item check closely for exact depth on the side pockets. This is a US made product so I couldn't jump on my import soap box. They need to review their QC process. It is your only choice as far as I know.

Asked by: Mart Mart
Unsure. Unless otherwise noted, we haven't tested the fitment on a Comet, so we can't say.
