Product Benefits:
- High strength and durability
- Improved clutch response and cable life
- Stainless steel cable will not rust through
- Low friction Teflon lining
- High durometer bushing at firewall

Steeda's adjustable clutch cable features a stainless steel inner cable and low friction Teflon lining. A high-durometer bushing is located on the firewall end of the cable for improved clutch response and cable life. This bushing is extremely durable and will not prematurely split and fail like cheaper bushings. Steeda is the only company with these features, making this the finest quality clutch cable you can get for your Mustang.

Many cables on the market are made from galvanized steel which won't hold up like Steeda's stainless steel cables. With Steeda's clutch cable, you won't have to worry about rusted cables.

The end of the clutch cable at the transmission is adjustable. When Steeda's clutch cable is used in conjuction with Steeda's aluminum clutch cable quadrant, the clutch cable can be adjusted.

Please Note: This Steeda cable requires an aftermartket quadrant, like Steeda's Double Hook Quadrant (5557000)!

Order this Steeda Adjustable Clutch Cable for your 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 or 1995 Mustang today from CJ Pony Parts.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1986 Mustang My original cable had streched, the adjustable clutch cable is a definate upgrade from the original the hardest part was removing the old cable. Nice now I have adjustability if I need it, worth your while to also consider the firewall clutch cable adjuster and Steeda Clutch Quadrant Double Hook, this combination gave me more range of motion on my clutch pedal. Patience is needed in removing all the old parts as working under the dash is a pain, I removed my driver seat for easier access. 3-4 hour to complete job for this old timer.

Would someone be able to confirm me that this clutch cable would work for my 1979 Mercury Capri with a 302 v-8 ? I need to know before placing the order. Thanks

Asked by: Tito 62
Since they're so closely related, you shouldn't have any problems.

I already have a Summit aluminum quadrant installed. The cable ends look the same, so I'm assuming this would be a good replacement, and the cable length would be correct. Is that true?

Asked by: Moosy1
Yes that will work for you
