Springs are the foundation of good handling. So start with the best. Steeda's experience and expertise in high performance street and racing suspension systems is second to none. Put that experience to work for you. Steeda 555-8200 Sport Lowering Springs are all custom made to precise specifications for your 1979-2004 V8 Mustang or 1994-2004 V6 Mustang. Specifications that have been refined and improved through years of testing.

Steeda's performance lowering springs improve the overall handling of the car by lowering the center of gravity and reducing body roll and pitching during braking. The reduced longitudinal pitch of the vehicle during heavy braking improves the overall braking efficiency. The higher rate of the front springs reduces the amount of load transferred to the front tires. This causes the load on all four tires to be more evenly distributed providing additional traction to the rear tires. The additional gain in rear traction can also improve brake performance and result in reduced braking distances.

The increase in spring rate also reduces body roll, which improves handling and steering response. Reduced body roll also confines the suspension geometry to stay within parameters that enhance the tire contact patch relative to the road. The result is improved vehicle cornering and handling. Higher cornering limits can be achieved as the built in under-steer characteristics of the vehicle are reduced and provide for a more neutral handling platform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome! As promised, NO body roll or brake lurch and they gave my 1992 Fox Body a new car ride, as well as a new look with 1" lower. Should have done it years ago. So worth the short money involved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Drop. These provided the perfect drop for my daily driver '02 GT. Had to remove the spring isolators though to get a full 1.25" drop. Big improvement in handling and no more brake dive!

I have 1995 3.8 V6. Car is low miles and has good shocks & springs. Just looks like it should sit a little lower. It also dives a lot on braking. Need to know if this is best kit available to lower car by an inch or two & reduce brake dive?

Asked by: 6000karl
Well I just installed these springs and they ELIMINATED both brake dive and body roll. You cannot dislike what these springs deliver. Re-read the description with the product and notice the 650 front and 250 lb spring rates. I did install the spring isolators to guard against wear and possible squeaking. 1/4 more in the drop will not be noticed and better safe than go through re-installation.

Would these work on the 93 cobra. Or would the ford racing springs be better because the spring rates are more similar to the factory spring rates?

Asked by: Mjmxu
Yes. You can't go wrong with either of those choices.
