Rated 5 out of 5 by Yenoromp from Nice product I installed this yesterday. Lots of swearing , bruises and scratches doing it on jack stands. Awesome product , feels amazing when combined with the Steedy clutch assist spring (a must) and the steedy shift bracket. Worth the 6 hrs of pain, unless you want to remove the driveshaft :-) Only downside is that when you use an aftermarket knob , an alloy sleeve needs to be used which raises the gear lever height. Tip: when reinstalling , to keep the shifter assembly up against the trans tunnel , I put a cable tie around the shifter shaft and then around a screwdriver across the console.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mustangineer from Did not fit the 2016 Mustang GT Premium The shifter lever was installed correctly. The lockout sleeve is not the correct circumference (girth) making it about 1/8" too thin. This allowed the shifter to go into R and 2nd without having to lift the sleeve. I reached out to Steeda and did not receive a response. I ended up buying the Ford Racing short throw shifter when they offered it w/o the knob. I unistalled the steeda and installed the Ford shifter without problems. As you might imagine the Ford shifter fits like a glove. I would not recommend the steeda if you have a 2016 Mustang GT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tru173 from Great Feel The shifter sits a little but lower after the install in complete, but the throws are noticeably shorter. Combined with the blowfish bracket this is a must-have upgrade. I completed the upgrades with a jack and jackstands, and did not remove the driveshaft or the exhaust. When you first attempt to remove the shifter it almost appears to be impossible with that driveshaft in the way, but it can be done with the two plastics still snapped on. The hardest part for me was after the bolts were removed actually pulling the housing plate off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2017mustangGT from Wow Wow that sucked. Lol. I did it on ramps in my driveway. I was under my car just trying to get the bolts out and back in for about two hours. The angles to get the bolts are are tuff. Make sure you have really good and somewhat stiff swivel. Also, I had issues trying to get the shifter in. I had to pry the box over enough to be able to force it in. With all that being said, I did get it done and I absolutely would do it again to get this result. It shifts better and a lot shorter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ScorchinScottieD from Seriously firms up your shifts. Ok. I got this from my son for Christmas so I had to install it on my 2015 Ecoboost Mustang. This is the first mod I put on the car and it started my obsession with bolt on modifications to take the car above and beyond the factory performance pack. (Thank you C.J Pony parts). I am an auto mechanic so I did the install myself but watching Bills install video made it so easy. If you are not handy with the tools have someone who is install it. The factory shifter was adequate but a bit sloppy and vague. After putting the Steeda shifter in the feel is like a gated shifter, very solid and positive like a bolt action rifle. I topped mine with a rally striped black shift knob so it looks as good as it performs. OK. I also spent the extra cash and added the Steeda billet rear shifter box support. (thank you Steeda). If you can afford both pieces absolutely do it, they go together to make a complete package and the factory support is just stamped steel with a very soft bushing. I now enjoy firm positive shifting thanks to C.J pony parts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chillngo from great for the price this part is worth the money but it is not worth the install. it took me hrs to get it installed and its only a 15% reduced, that isn't really that much. If you are good with the tools for the price you should get it, but if you're a beginner on the tools its not worth the trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GTPP50 from Should've come this way from the factory...! I have a 2017 Mustang GT, PP....(btw the 2016 and 2017 are the same so not sure why the other guy had issues and gave a bad review...) Took me about 3 hours to install the shifter and new Steeda bushing, as well as the transmission insert. Cussed a lot. I have bad anxiety so those tight spaces handling tiny screws and slippery tools from the grease....MAN! But totally worth every bit of it. Driving it afterwards feels like a different car. I read all the reviews beforehand and some said the same. They were right. Shifts are very tight. No slop. Took a few shifts to get used to how snug everything is. The vibration is slightly elevated over stock. Crusing at low rpm is nothing at all. At about 1500-2000 you can feel it. But just a little. After about 3000 I dont feel anything different than before. All in all....this was a great purchase, simple install, plenty of info out there. I just Youtubed Bill and that's all the instructions I needed. Cheers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by coolreed from Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter Installed this shifter a few days ago. It was very difficult to install because the driveshaft is in the way, but I got it done. I also installed the Blowfish Racing Support Bracket after the shifter install. This combination improved the shifting considerably and I recommend this combination.

Hello, Does the actual height of the shifter change (how far the knob is above the center console)? Thanks.
I would say it sits about 1" lower than stock.

is the there nvh or vibration with the steeda lever? are the throws shorter than the barton lever?
We have not heard any complaints regarding NVH and the throws are comparable to any other short throw shifter on the market for the 2015+
