Pair of Steeda X2 Ball Joints for 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Mustangs.

Steeda's X2 Ball Joints improve suspension geometry on lowered Mustangs by raising the spindle relative to the ball joint pivot point. This raises the roll center back into the correct range for optimum handling. The end result is reduced body roll, quicker steering response and improved overall front tire grip. X2 ball joints reduce the need for oversized front sway bars and allows use of lower front spring rates which creates more grip over uneven pavement and better ride quality.

Steeda ball joints use the same materials and construction that has been extensively tested in police cars and other severe duty applications. The X2 ball joint has demonstrated durability that exceeds current production ball joints. They even meet Ford's standards for friction, wear and durability. Simply put, Steeda X2 Ball Joints will stand up to the abuse and provide lasting performance in your 1994-2004 Mustang.

Steeda X2 Ball Joint Features and Benefits:
- Restores front end roll center geometry
- Improved front end grip and steering response
- Reduced understeer at cornering limit
- High quality construction
- Includes spacers for the springs to maintain the same ride height as a stock ball joint

Once a Mustang is lowered, the pivot points of the suspension change which changes the front roll center. If the car is lowered too much, the roll center will drop well below ground level, and move side to side as the body rolls. This results in lost grip and erratic handling. To counter this problem, a very high front spring rate is needed to subdue the addition body roll. You'll end up with a rough ride quality and reduced grip on bumpy surfaces because stiff spring rates cause the tire to skip over bumps. Steeda's X2 Ball Joints are designed to specifically cure this issue.

*This is a common upgrade on 1979-1993 Mustangs when converting to 5-lug 1994-2004 spindles and brakes.

Whenever you change the ride height of your Mustang you upset the geometry of the suspension. The roll center as well as bump steer geometry changes. Steeda X2 Ball Joints can easily counter act the negative effects of lowering your 1994-2004 Mustang.
