The machined slot design featured on the front rotors keeps air moving through, which blows off dust and cools the rotor. Reducing high temperatures associated with braking will prevent the rotors from fading and warping. Eliminating extreme heat can also prevent resins in your brake pad from vaporizing or 'out-gassing.' Unlike other brands, StopTech doesn't let a layer of friction material build up between the brake pad and rotor. A clean brake pad surface ensures consistent contact with the Sport series pads and provides quieter operation. Furthermore, the slotted design assists in inclement weather conditions, such as rain. The Vac-U-Slots successfully push water off the braking surface, resulting in maximum friction levels and increased stopping power.

The rotor hats, edges and internal vanes are coated in a durable black e-coat finish for corrosion protection. The braking surfaces remain in a bare iron finish to improve brake pad bed-in. The components are designed to meet or exceed high-quality specifications, including cooling vane designs. 

Please Note: 1993 Cobras use Cobra specific rotors that have a taller rotor 'hat'. These rotors will work on a Cobra but wheel spacers are required if running the original 1993 Cobra wheels.
