Front 1" Sway Bar Kit for all 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs.

Are you in the market to freshen up the front suspension on your 1971-1973 Mustang? This sway bar is constructed out of high-carbon steel with hot forged ends and a black painted finish. This sway bar kit comes complete with everything needed to properly install this new sway bar to your 1971-1973 Mustang. This 1" sway bar is a performance upgrade for the thin, weaker factory Ford sway bar.

Features:
- Black 1" Front Sway Bar
- Correct Mounting Brackets and Hardware
- High-Carbon Steel with Hot Forged Ends
- Performance Upgrade

The sway bar kit includes hardware that consists of heat treated 5,000 lb. end-link bolts, zinc chromate coated brackets, double beveled urethane bushings and plated and cupped washers. This sway bar is painted in a black finish which helps give the appearance of a stock sway bar. The 1" sway bar helps reduce under steering, body roll and altogether sloppy handling, by adding rigidity with this great new anti-sway bar kit.

Does your 1965-1973 Mustang suspension need some work to make the ride smoother and your Mustang more responsive? CJ Pony Parts has several hundred Mustang suspension parts, including shocks, sway bars, springs and control arms, so you can easily find any suspension component you need. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better ride This is a great, easy to install upgraded sway bar. I put it on my 1973 Mustang Fastback, and I can definitely tell the difference in the ride between this and the old stock 7/8" bar. One caveat, the holes for the brackets that mount to the frame are a tad larger, & the wrench flats on the nuts began to cut into them. I had some stainless washers that I used to put between the nuts & the brackets. Other than that, great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice quality part Ordered to replace my stock one on my 73 fastback , only downpoint was the origional mounting holes were too narrow I had to enlarge the holes and elongate the bushing bracket to make it fit

I'm building a 1971 fastback with a 429, will the 1" sway bar be enough or should I go with 1-1/8"? Just for street....

Asked by: Richd71
You may want to use the thicker swaybar because of the extra weight.

will this sway bar bolt on a 1973 maverick?

Asked by: cometman73
No clue. We don't test fitments on Mavericks, so we can't say for sure either way.
