This power steering pump has been specifically designed by Total Control Products for high-performance cars and racing. Newer pump technologies are used such as a micro-honed piston bore for a smooth and quick response, ported internal passages that create much lower turbulence and a unique design that creates a versatile, durable and efficient pump. The pumps flow curve can be calibrated and tuned to best suit the performance of your engine, and can run up to 20 degrees cooler. Whether you’re into competition driving, or just a streetable performance machine, this pump won’t let you down.
Total Control Products recommends maximum operational pump speeds of 9,000 rpm. A typical street engine with common sized crankshaft pulleys will run the power steering pump well below the 9,000 rpm limit. However, if you have a high-rpm engine with an over-driven pulley arrangement, it is highly recommended that you calculate the pump speed to make sure that it does not exceed the maximum pump speed.
