This factory-welded subframe clip is highlighted by deletion of the factory shock towers, freeing up room for a small block V8 engine, as well as a g-Machine double A-arm, rack and pinion crossmember.

This (TCP KCST1-1) factory-welded full-length subframe clip is ideal for Mustang builds packing a lot of power. This subframe clip has fully boxed rails with heavier wall thickness than stock, offering improved rigidity. This subframe clip extends the entire length of the front frame rails.
The included recessed-pocket steel shock tower delete panels will clear up space under the hood of your 1965-1966 Mustang for either an early or late model small block V8 engine. For your convenience, the panel edges are pre-drilled for rosette welding to stock inner fenders.
The included crossmember has a bent-tube, billet-component design. It is a totally closed, firm structure with greater strength and resistance bending and twisting than other crossmembers. Composed of steel tubing, there are large-radius mandrel bends at each side that will distribute loads throughout the crossmember. This will eliminate fatigue points at critical areas. Additionally, slots for the billet-mount tabs are machined in a horizontal machining center with dedicated fixturing to ensure proper component geometry that will in turn ensure a proper functioning suspension.
Self-fixturing female slots used with machined male tabs provide an interlocking assembly method that enables A-arm, rack and pinion, and shock mounts to be accurately positioned in all axes. This will ensure that your suspension will properly perform. Non-interlocking designs are not nearly as accurate after welding. The premium spray-arc welding process utilized on this product creates the best weld penetration with excellent appearance.
