This rear brake kit from Wilwood features Dynamic Mount steel rotors that provide a high resistance to thermal distortion with exceptional friction and wear characteristics. These lightweight rotors weigh only 5.7 pounds each. The brake hats are machined from premium alloys for optimal strength while minimalizing weight. Paired with the steel rotors, these brake hats provide solid and reliable braking performance. The rotors attach to the OE hubs with the hats using Wilwood’s T-nut mounting system, this system allows the rotor to move independently from the hat during heat cycles. This design will eliminate stress on the mounting points and reduce rotor distortion that can occur with steel rotors that are fixed mount. Another benefit of the dynamic mounting system is that it will assure the brake pads fully release from the rotor, eliminating the brakes dragging down the track.
