Your new index ring will install between the contact plate and the horn ring retainer. This ring acts as an insulator, to keep your horn from activating unless you intentionally push it.
Please Note: Replacement horn ring (HR5) and new index ring mounting screws (HW3195) are each sold separately if you are unable to reuse your Mustang's originals.
