Rated 1 out of 5 by 351c4speed from Three's the charm??? I have a '70 Mach 1 that is not a daily driver. This is the third one I bought. The first one the rubber split on every corner where the shifter goes through in two months. The second one split in the same place within two weeks. Since it's the only show in town I'll try one more time. The shifter fits extremely tight in the boot. If they made the rectangular hole a bit longer it probably wouldn't split.

What is the bolt pattern spacing? My car is an early 1970 Mach 1 with 6 1/8" by 4 1/4" factory bolt holes. I need both a Hurst shift boot and retainer plate. Can you help?
Does this shifter boot require a metal bezel to hold it to the floor?
