2015 Rear Axle
A Mustang’s rear axle is one of the most important parts when it comes to actually using your horsepower. If you plan to do major modifications, then you’ll also want to upgrade your rear axle.
Unlike the 2014 Mustang, the 2015 and other S550 models have an independent rear suspension. That means instead of a solid rear axle, there are two half shafts sending power from the differential to the wheels.
While the IRS system is praiseworthy, if you want to take your S550 to the strip, you may want to upgrade the half shafts. Fortunately, there are several performance half shaft options.
Upgrading your differential and rear gear ratio is another way to customize your 2015 Mustang’s performance for your needs.
