2018 Mustang Engine

While the 2018 Mustang came with a lot of power from the factory, maintenance is required to keep that performance. If you need, or want, even more power, there are many modifications that can give you a performance boost.

For 2018, Ford decided to drop the V6 option, leaving only the EcoBoost and GT. Both of these options have great factory specs, and both are able to be modified for even more performance. Cold air intakes, tuners, and oil separators are all great modifications for either of the 2018's engines.

Likewise, most of the parts needed for maintenance will be similar. Keeping your air filters and oil filters regularly changed will help keep your engine in top condition.

Many other modifications are designed to work with either the EcoBoost or the Coyote specifically. These parts are designed to fit perfectly with your engine, making installation easy and getting the most performance from each part.

The great thing about engine modifications is that you can start as big or small as you're comfortable with. If you're looking for an easy-to-install power boost, a cold air intake is an obvious choice. If you're looking to get a lot of power and don't mind making substantial modifications to your engine, then a supercharger or nitrous oxide kit will definitely give you a noticeable horsepower bump.

With a modified engine that's sure to impress, you'll also want to invest in some underhood dress-up parts, since you'll be popping the hood frequently to show off your hard work and awesome modifications.
