2019 Mustang Engine

Whether your 2019 Mustang came with a 5.0L V8 or the turbocharged EcoBoost, you got a lot of power right from the factory. But there are still a lot of ways to improve your speed and performance.

Most performance modifications can be made by both EcoBoost and GT Mustangs. Oil separators, cold air intakes, and tunes are three of the most beneficial upgrades owners can make and all three come in versions for GT, GT350, and EcoBoost Mustangs. A cold air intake and tune couple well to give drivers more control over the performance of their ride. Oil separators are mostly good for maintenance and making sure your engine lasts for years to come. This is the same reason to also get high-quality oil filters and regularly change your air filter.

Because the EcoBoost is turbocharged, it also benefits from some modifications like blow off valves and intercoolers. The GT is currently naturally aspirated, but dropping a supercharger in there is one of the best ways to see your horsepower increase by triple digits.

Tweaking your engine to get more performance and speed is a worthwhile endeavor, and with just a little work you'll be ahead of your friends next time you head out for a drive.
