Cardone Select began as Cardone Industries back in 1970. Founded by Michael Cardone, Sr. and his son, Michael Cardone, Jr., Cardone Industries started in a row house in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cardone began by remanufacturing windshield wiper motors, but Cardone Industries has expanded quite a bit since then. While Cardone Industries remains headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company has added more than 70 product lines and 45,000 products. They've established additional facilities in California, Texas, Mexico and Canada and hired more than 5,000 workers, which makes them the largest privately held automotive parts company in the world. Cardone Industries still remains family owned and led, as Michael Cardone III now serves as president.
