Moroso Performance Parts was initially started in 1968, in Connecticut, by Dick Moroso, who was, at the time, one of the most successful modified production drag racers on the national circuit. Mr. Moroso decided in 1968 that his interests were better suited to starting and developing his dream of opening his own business, and left his racing career to design, test and manufacture specialized products aimed exclusively at the needs of drag racing enthusiasts. The automotive performance world quickly recognized that Moroso products were strides ahead of other manufacturers due to the fact that they were being designed by a drag racer, for drag racers.

The Moroso Performance Products heritage of crafting superior Mustang equipment continues on to this day with Moroso's constantly evolving manufacturing and quality control practices and processes. Moroso employs the use of powerful computers installed with the latest computer-aided drafting and manufacturing software to design and manufacture their equipment. These have taken the place of the original drafting tables that were once used by Moroso's engineers.

The Moroso manufacturing plant is now filled with a wide range of sophisticated CNC machinery, including turret punch presses, turning centers and lathes, all to deliver the most accurately crafted equipment to the valued customers of CJ Pony Parts and their other distributors. Through their years of successful operation, Moroso has been able to expand their reach beyond Connecticut to establish a manufacturing center specifically for their wiring equipment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. These practices and facilities, in combination with their highly skilled craftsmen and precision machinery, guarantees that Moroso is able to continue the tradition of quality made merchandise that was started by Dick Moroso all the way back in 1968.
