The brake light switch is an important safety feature on your Ford Mustang. When you tap on the brakes, the brake light switch signals the brake lights to illuminate. The switch is attached to the brake pedal, and will activate the exterior lights when the pedal is pressed. If your brake lights aren't coming on when you press the brake pedal, then one of the first parts you should check is the brake light switch.
