Whether you have an automatic or manual, it’s a simple task to swap out your Mustang’s shifter.
If you’re restoring your Mustang’s transmission, the Ford Mustang shifter might be the last thing you complete. Your shifter’s brackets, bushings, lever, bezel, and hardware might need to be replaced, too.
Modern manual transmission Mustangs can benefit from a short-throw shifter. These reduce the distance needed to shift between gears, giving you a quick, precise feel for every gear change.
For the 10-speed automatic S550, you can add paddle shifter extensions. These will give your interior a custom style and make every shift feel that much better to perform.
No matter what Mustang shifter parts you’ve installed, a custom shift knob adds a nice finishing touch.
