Mustang Starters & Starter Solenoids

Mustang starters and starter solenoids are essential to get your Mustang’s engine up and running. The starter is responsible for providing the initial rotation of the engine by producing an electric current powered by the car’s battery. The starter solenoid completes the circuit between the battery and starter. This initial engine rotation kick-starts the combustion process so the engine can continue to run.

Mustang starters and starter solenoids must be matched appropriately to the power requirements of your engine. If you have a Mustang starter or starter solenoid that isn’t rated for the power in your engine, it won’t be able to handle the load. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s recommendations to find a starter to match your Mustang’s engine. We have direct fit replacements available for manual and automatic transmissions.
